Swanky stationary featuring you and your pup

Looking for a great way to spoil yourself or a fellow trendy dog lover? If so, I highly recommend you check out the personalized stationary from Design-her Gals. I received this stationary as a Christmas present and I was very excited when I saw that not only was my name on the note pad, but also a figure that looks and dresses like me and she was with a dog who looks just like my puppy Baxter!

The stationary from Design-her Gals allows you to make your own gal to be printed on the note pads and you can pick everything including her hair and eye color, her clothing and her accessories…which obviously for us swanky dog owners means our dogs. They have over 100 dogs to choose from and a wide variety of breeds so almost everyone will be able to find the right match to go with their gal.

Not only do they sell trendy note pads featuring your gal and your pup, but they also have stationary, invitations, calling cards, business cards, address labels and t-shirts. They even have personalized e-cards you can send to friends and family featuring your gal. Treat yourself to this stylish stationary and you will be looking for excuses to write notes to your friends!

Going away for New Years?

I recently got a tour of my local PetSmart PetsHotel and Doggie Day Camp. What a cool place to house your pup when you need to travel or spend extended amounts of time away from home!

The facility was extremely clean and attractive. And it seemed very homey, too. You can get a dog atrium room (complete with lambskin blanket and a poochy cot) or a dog suite (add a TV with pet themed shows!). I like that there are always caregivers there, 24 hours a day. They are each safety-certified and vets are always on call (and some in the store!) There is a 24-hour monitoring system as well.

Some of the other great features include:
- extended pick up and drop off hours (including Sundays)
- Doggie Day Camp -- all-day play in their play room, is available for extra exercise and socialization
- There are separate cat and dog ventilation areas which minimize stress, and the air is circulated 3 times and hour. (And the entire hotel is air conditioned)
- Pet drinking water is filtered
- Best of all -- there is an area for pet parents to call and speak with their pets!

Additionally, you can have your dog groomed or trained while they stay at the pet hotel.

Rates are $25/night and up. (You can add things like extra play time and extra treats!) Take a video tour and see how neat this concept really is. If you need a place for your pet to stay, I would definitely consider your local PetSmart PetsHotel! (And if you stop by to check it out, pick up a copy of their free 2008 calendar -- it has a ton of coupons in it for grooming, training, and hotel stays)

Swanky Pup of the Week!

This special boy is Boomer, the 13 year-old Shetland Sheepdog from Langhorne, PA. He is a loving and loyal dog who is happiest when he is surrounded by his family. Boomer may have slowed down a bit with age, but he can steal a sandwich off of your plate at lighting speed and will do anything for a slice of cheese. He has a special connection with his people and can tell when they are not feeling well and he has been known to stick by their side to nurse them back to health. Even in the face of his own health problems Boomer has been such a trooper and his family feels lucky for each and every day they get to spend with him.

Nicknames: Boom Boom, Boomie

Likes: Being with family, cuddling, sleeping on his favorite blanket, getting attention, food (especially cheese), going for walks, when his brother Buster gets locked in the laundry room

Dislikes: Other dogs taking attention away from him, being downstairs all by himself, when his brother Buster bites him, being brushed or groomed or inspected in anyway, getting his nails clipped

Pawaprazzi Pets -- an adorable idea for little girls!

My aunt just got a tiny 1 1/2lb. teacup chihuahua puppy. I think one of the most appealing reasons to get a little dog like this is their portability -- they can go everywhere with you!

A perfect gift for her daughter would be a Pawparazzi pet. These adorable little pets are "celebrities" -- living the life of glamour, fashion, and travel.

Pawparazzi can be enjoyed by girls on many levels. They can read about their pets in Pawparazzi Magazine and on their website. The pets can be outfitted with trendy bags, fashion jewelry and collectible charms that young girls love. Their fascination with tiny things and their imagination playing in the world of their pets can be shared with friends!

New pets are introduced a few times a year, and currently there are about a dozen pets to choose from. Introduce a favorite little girl in your life to these adorable pets and I bet she will be in love!
